Game 2: Who wants to play?Second Game: 2007 Indiana Downs Standardbred Meet
The second game of Hitch-N-Post Fantasy Claimer will be conducted during the 2007 Indiana Downs Standardbred Meet. All horses must be selected from claiming events contested at Indiana Downs in Shelbyville, Indiana. In order to participate, you must be a forum member by 1:00 p.m. EDT on Friday, July 13, 2007, and have announced your intention to play. This leaves the remainder of the afternoon for making selections for your stable, prior to the start of the race meet. Claims can be made any time after the draw is available, but must be posted on the forum by one hour prior to post time on the day of the race. Note: Those participating in the first game will be given first opportunity to play in Game 2. If you played in Game 1, you will have a few options for your stable: 1. Keep your existing horses and money in your account to go on to this game. (The three late entrants will be given an additional $10,000 to make them even with the original players starting amount.) 2. Sell some or all of your horses and add their value to your account. If you sell all of your horses, your account balance will be your Stable Value at the end of the first game. 3. Get rid of all of your horses and your money. You may start the new game with $20,000, like any new player. If you would like to participate in the Hitch-N-Post Fantasy Claimer Challenge, please indicate your interest in this topic. Players in the previous game should indicate their decision regarding the Game 1 Stable. Good Luck to everyone! Hoosier Hitch-N-Post Administrator
Game 2I am going to continue playing in Game 2 and exercise Option 2 for my stable.
I was originally going to sell all of my horses and start off with more money in my account. However, I see Seton Hall is entered for the first Saturday of the meet. He might have a chance to earn me some more money. Now, I am going to sell all of the horses but Seton Hall. This means I am starting Game 2 with $17,995 and one horse. I am hoping my stable does a lot better this round! Stacey -
"Just my opinion...for what it's worth..."
I'm inSince I relocated to Chester, I've changed my name
And I did close down my stable from Game 1 - to quote sales catelogs "Owners couldn't agree" LOL I'm going to start from scratch and try to catch lightning in a bottle again. And yes, I did give notice at Hop (actually near the end of May) that I will not be back as Chester will be picking up a ton of days (at least 150) so the conflict in dates is makes it impossible to be fair to both tracks. But I will return to Indiana for a while this winter and will be following everyone at Indiana Downs (& the fairs). Good luck to everyone and let's start the game Mike Wandishin PS - Thanks to Stacey for setting up and running this game! PPS - New Stable name Wandishin Racing Stable Same Mike, different state....
I'm in for round 2. I'll keep my mare and money. Glad to get the extra 10K to make claims.
I really have no idea what I am doing. After all, I am only a Paper Trainer!
Re: Game 2: Who wants to play?
Due to the fact the forum has been undergoing some unscheduled maintenance over the past few days, the deadline to join this round of Hitch-N-Post Fantasy Claimer has been extended. Those interested now have until 6:00 p.m. EDT on Sunday, July 15, 2007 to join the game. The extended deadline should help the people who sent the panicky e-mails, as well as maybe a few others. If the forum is ever down, and you wish to join the game or make a claim, you may submit it to hitchnpostadmin@gmail.com. The message, complete with timestamp, will be posted once the forum is back active. Sorry for the inconvenience! Hoosier Hitch-N-Post Administrator
Im in too...sell all horses and start new stable.
Want to claim 1 for sat nite. ![]() "Forgive me for saying that Lord...and save the starvin pigmies in new Guinea. Amen" Git-R-Done!
Re: Game 2
I don`t know if it`s possible to change my mind but I would like to give up "Exponential" since he is racing @ Tioga it doesn`t make any sense to keep him. I would rather add the claiming price back and keep "Bring in the noise" since he is entered @ Indiana Downs. Let me know Trotter Life's simple , you make choices and don't look back
Re: Game 2
With all of the time the forum has been down recently, this is a fair request. Even if you had made this decision before post time last night, you may not have been able to make the post. Your account will be credited for the horse's last claiming price at Hoosier Park ($8,000) and Exponential will no longer be in your stable. Hoosier Hitch-N-Post Administrator
