Hitch-N-Post Fantasy Claimer Challenge

Hitch-N-Post Fantasy Claimer is limited to twenty (20) stables. In order to participate, you must be a forum member. The date for joining will be based on the meet being used for the game. This information will be clearly posted in this topic. Be sure to watch for updates as to if and when new stables will be accepted.

Guidelines:

1. At the start of the game, each participant will have a $20,000 bankroll.

2. All claims must be made at the track listed for a given game by one hour prior to post time on the day of the race. The first claim entered on a horse is the one that is recognized. If the horse is scratched from the race, the person entering the claim will have the option of acquiring the horse or voiding the claim.

3. If a horse is "actually" claimed from a race at the track, the horse will no longer be in your stable and your account will be credited with the claiming price. You will also receive any monies earned by the horse in the race. If you wish to acquire the horse again, you must must enter a claim the following week.

4. Training bills will be $500/month for each horse in the stable. To simplify horse ownership for our purposes, we will assume no vet bills, blacksmith fees, shipping, paddocks, Salix, etc. In addition, the horse's earnings will include the total amount of purse money earned. No driver fees, trainer percentage, etc. will be deducted from the race winnings.
Note: No adjustments will be made if a horse is later disqualifed as the result of pre or post race drug testing.

5. You may Amish a horse for half of the price you gave for it. Also, you may purchase horses off of the Amish Wagon after they have been sold by other participants.

6. If you run out of money and cannot pay your training bill on the first day of the month, you will go bust and be out of the game.

7. In the event of a situation not addressed by these guidelines, the Site Aministrator will resolve the issue and that decision will be final.

Good luck everyone and let's try to have some fun!

Second Game: 2007 Indiana Downs Standardbred Meet

The second game of Hitch-N-Post Fantasy Claimer will be conducted during the 2007 Indiana Downs Standardbred Meet. All horses must be selected from claiming events contested at Indiana Downs in Shelbyville, Indiana.

In order to participate, you must be a forum member by 1:00 p.m. EDT on Friday, July 13, 2007, and have announced your intention to play. This leaves the remainder of the afternoon for making selections for your stable, prior to the start of the race meet.

Claims can be made any time after the draw is available, but must be posted on the forum by one hour prior to post time on the day of the race.

Note: Those participating in the first game will be given first opportunity to play in Game 2.

If you played in Game 1, you will have a few options for your stable:

1. Keep your existing horses and money in your account to go on to this game. (The three late entrants will be given an additional $10,000 to make them even with the original players starting amount.)

2. Sell some or all of your horses and add their value to your account. If you sell all of your horses, your account balance will be your Stable Value at the end of the first game.

3. Get rid of all of your horses and your money. You may start the new game with $20,000, like any new player.
